According to data released by Japan Petrochemical Industry Association on Apr 18, production of ethylene in March was 406,100mt, down 12.0% on year and down 9.4% on month due to turnaround of plants. Operation rates of ethylene plants were at 78.7%, down 0.5 points on year and down 2.0 points on month. Turnaround took place at two companies' two plants in March 2024 and one company's one plant in March 2023. In February 2024, no plants underwent turnaround.
