IEA plans to open its first regional office in Singapore

The International Energy Agency (IEA) plans to open its first regional office in Singapore with the help of the country's government. IEA mainly aims to support the transition to green energy in Asia. The office is scheduled to open in the second half this year. The office will provide policy guidance, technical assistance for cross-border power trade and improving access to finance for clean energy investment. It will be first time for IEA to establish an office outside its Paris headquarters. IEA is an organization with 31 member countries that aims to solve international energy issues. It is not related to the United Nations.
